EGO+ 14 - Brunch Tales

Jojo and Kanaima return. (00:00) They quickly recap what they have been up to since the last pod, (01:30) go over some of the COVID restrictions that were being enforced while traveling to different states and (5:40) how, on Easter Sunday, all of Miami decided to go out to brunch all at once, collectively setting the stage possibly for a summer without COVID restrictions. (15:00) This leads Jojo and Kanaima to recall when Jojo had a close call with the virus. (22:00) Following their brunch tales, they reveal how most restaurants and venues only have COVID rules to save themselves on paper, (27:00) Kanaima shares some close encounters where she was about to get physical in public and (33:00) Jojo made an innocent mistake while out with a potential mans. Finally, (39:00) The Cast are insulted by the overpriced Bad Bunny tickets and (50:00) Kanaima and Jojo list their priorities for the remainder of the year!

EGO+ 13 - Should We Go Back?

RIP DMX, (00:40) The Cast starts the show off remembering DMX as the legendary man who captivated their fathers minds, not through the hype club music he is mostly known for in the mainstream, but through his more vulnerable album cuts that resonated with many who have endured similar challenges. (06:00) This then opens up the "should fans be able to gate keep the fanbase" conversation, using instances like MF DOOM's passing as an example. (11:50) The Cast then moves on to Carlton Davis' unknowing use of a slur when he thought he was using a slang word that most people in South Florida use, does he deserve a pass? (21:20) Should the offended party, not the random online instigators, be the one to start a healthy dialogue between them and whoever used a slur word unknowingly? Allowing for a person to learn from their mistakes? (25:50) YG's song that seemed to have targeted an Asian Community has been censored, The Cast reacts and Chris fears if this will set a new standard in the industry for other artist to become censored; (25:50) making him ask the question "Should we go back and edit?" (39:40) With the world opening back up, Domestic Terrorism is gradually reminding us that our normal before COVID wasn't a good one by any means, (47:00) but what if we can somehow change what being called "American" means? (50:12) RIP to Daunte Wright, another man who was killed by the Police, is reform truly the answer? (56:00) Finally, The Cast announces upcoming projects under Circa that are in development.

The Cast is back, (00:00) starting off the pod with Jack's time in Colorado and other states, or countries, that they would want to move to. (07:00) This is the first time in two years since the former Cuzzo podcast members have recorded together, so The Cast takes a look at how they have all grown and evolved since those days at Deadstead Radio. (13:00) Seeing a creative's vision come to life is always exciting, especially if it took a three year fight with a major corporation and more on Zack Synder's Justice League. (24:00) Jack briefly goes over his time shooting with Spectre, (33:00) The Cast share stories about casual Cocaine use, (43:00) Go over the aftermath of the domestic terrorist attack that took place in Atlanta and (48:00) become aware of the new Social Awareness Aesthetics that have made oppressive and horrible situations trendy. Towards the back end, (1:25:00) Ra'Mal and Jack turn on Chris, (1:29:00) engage in a random and unnecessary talk about their sex lives and, of course, (1:37:00) give their shoutouts!

EGO+ 11 - An Artist and His Progress

ULC Founder and Leader, JAROC, joins The Cast today to let us in on what it took for ULC to release its first project and all the progress he has made as an artist since the groups inception. JAROC also goes into the pressures of being an artist in this social media age, managing and dealing with turmoil in and outside of the group, and expectations going forward. In the end, very appreciative overall.

They call for creatives to embrace their black peers more and hope greatness is achieved in the spirit of true collaboration.
